This was sunrise at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. I love watching the pelicans. They are difficult to catch in flight. Unlike my winter in Texas there is no one place where they just perch for hours.
I miss walks on the beach. Listening to my Ipod and walking it's amazing how far you can get without realizing it. Most days I got in five miles.
Vastness of the ocean makes you realize just how small you are in this world. It wasn't until my second winter there, I actually saw cruise ships in the distance and even those were not close.
I find it peaceful to walk the beach at any time of the day. There is something to be said for peacefulness.
